Do you feel stressed out, irritable, overwhelmed? Do you worry too much about the “what ifs” of life? Do you have painful memories from past trauma? Does anxiety and worry keep you from meeting people or being all-that-you-want-to-be in life?

If so, I may be able to help. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders of all kinds. I will work with you to help you make constructive changes to your life–and the ways you think about your life–to reduce anxiety and depression while, at the same time, increasing your peace of mind.

I am a client-centered, empathic therapist, skilled in solution-oriented therapy, combining Mindfulness with a relational, narrative approach. My ideal client prefers to achieve wellness through cognitive, behavioral, and lifestyle changes; they take medication as a last resort.

Most presenting problems like anxiety are not just private problems but connected  to larger public issues. For instance, on a societal level, we are currently living through what has been accurately described as The Age of Anxiety. I work to find ways to help clients make constructive change while treating underlying existential issues of alienation and aloneness in modern life.

“We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness, which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world.”      Proust
